Q. What is your specialty and why did you choose it?
A. “Being the youngest member of a family with three siblings, all clinical doctors, I was always fascinated by the role of pathology and its’ impact on medical and surgical decision-making. Also working as a family physician and enjoying interaction with patients, I decided to continue my training in cytopathology to apply my clinical skills by developing direct patient-physician interactions while performing FNAs. This was also an opportunity for me to overcome my long-standing needle phobia that I had been dealing with since childhood! And later on, having a special bond with patients with breast cancer as a female doctor, led me to pursue breast pathology to advocate for the well-being of these patients.”
Q. What is your favourite aspect of your current position?
A. “The favorite aspect of my current position at Juravinsiki Hospital is the opportunity to contribute to the treatment of cancer patients by working on complex oncologic cases, alongside experienced colleagues, staffs and interacting closely with residents.”
