Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Danielle Brewer-Deluce
Danielle Brewer-Deluce, PhD is a new Assistant Professor in the Education Program in Anatomy, Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University. Prior to this role, she was an Assistant Professor at Western University in Kinesiology, within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Dr. Brewer-Deluce holds a PhD in Anatomy and Cell Biology from Western University and was a McCall MacBain Postdoctoral Fellow in Teaching and Leadership at McMaster University.
Dr. Brewer-Deluce teaches anatomy in both the MD program and FHS undergraduate courses at McMaster. As an educational scholar, her research focusses on assessment, the use of technology in the classroom and teaching and learning in anatomy. Her goal is to help students learn more effectively and efficiently using an evidence-based educational practice. She also has a keen interest in interprofessional education and increasing the inclusivity and decolonization of anatomy curricula.
